Sendie of vascaíno’s final stretch in the Brasileirão, Paulo Henrique spoke about his current moment with the cruzmaltina shirt.
In an interview with the Xores Cast channel on YouTube, the right-back reviewed his career and mentioned his determination as a trump card both at Vasco and throughout the years as a professional player.
“It’s been 10 years of countless battles. Regardless of the match, whether it’s in the Third Division or in a classic against Botafogo, it’s my daily bread. The athlete has to desire… whether unmotivated or motivated, they have to want it. I go every day with blood in my eyes to train and for the match,” he said.
At the same time, Paulo Henrique commented on the friendship he has built with Alex Teixeira. According to the 96 shirted vascaíno, the humility of the experienced attacking midfielder is one of his main qualities.
“Alex Teixeira is an amazing guy. When I arrived here, we became great friends. He treats everyone the same way, from the president to the lowest-ranked at the club. He treats Payet the same way he treats the kid rising from the youth team. I have a great admiration for him, both as an athlete and as a person. He is one of my great friends at Vasco,” he concluded.
Return and next match
After serving a suspension in the 2×2 draw with Cruzeiro, Paulo Henrique returns to Vasco’s starting lineup in the match against Athletico-PR, for the 35th round of the Brasileirão. The match takes place this Saturday (25), at 7:30pm (Brasília time), at Ligga Arena, in Curitiba.
Currently, the Giant of Colina is in 15th place in the Brasileirão, with 41 points earned.
